• Bow Shackle (Anchor Shackle): Has a larger, round "O" shaped bow, allowing for side loading and multiple sling-leg connections.
• Dee Shackle (Chain Shackle): Has a narrower D-shaped bow, designed for in-line tension and should not be side loaded.

The dee is the curved portion of the shackle, and the eyes are the parts that support the pin. The pin is a steel bolt that passes through the eyes of the shackle.Dee shackles are available in various sizes, ranging from 3/16" to 3", and are categorized into US Standard, JIS Standard, and European Standard. The Forged and Free Forged specifications are commonly used in industrial applications.
