  Mooring chains are categorized into two types: non-geared anchor chains and gearedanchor chains. The grades of each type are determined by the applicable internationalstandards. The following are the grades and corresponding tensile strengths for each type:

Studless anchor chains:
Grade 1: Breaking Test Load from 13.32 kN to 926.09 kN.
Grade 2: Breaking Test Load from 18.60 kN to 1298.60 kN.
Grade 3: Breaking Test Load from 184.89 kN to 1805.00 kN.

Stud anchor chains:

U1:Tensile strength of 170 MPa(megapascals)
U2: Tensile strength of 200 MPa(megapascals)
U3:Tensile strength of 250 MPa(megapascals).

To distinquish the grades of each type, you can check the markings on the anchor chain.Anchor chains are typically marked with letters and numbers indicating the chain diameter,chain link length, and anchor chain grade. For studless anchor chains, the markings may include "G1""G2", and "G3" to indicate the grade. For stud anchor chains, the markings may include "U1", "U2", and "U3" to indicate the grade. lt is important to carefully check the markings and other relevant information when purchasing anchor chains toensure that the appropriate grade is selected for the specific application.
