Like any piece of mooring apparatus mooring chain has a proof and break load.  Proof loads are the tension the anchor chain is pulled to to "proof" or certify the actual strength of any given chain, usually up to twice the normal working loads.  Break loads are the expected minimal load that must be applied to a chain to actually break it and are higher than a proof load.

Proof And Break Testing:

Our on-site testing facility is capable of exerting up to 200Tons load on chains, anchors and fittings. Every test comes with complete certification that the chain meets the specifications.

Magnetic Particle Inspection:

Combined with a visual inspection, our magnetic particle inspection confirms the quality of the chains. Our  staff has over 25 years of experience conducting these inspections.

Ultrasound & Die Penetrant Inspection:

We also offer certified ultrasound & die penetrant inspection. Our inspectors are fully authorized to administer the examination and each test comes with certification paperwork.
